The population is 21.
In the chart above you can see the breakdown of the population faith groups in your parish. If you are a ‘Presence and Engagement’ parish then this means that 10% or more of your population are from a faith group other than Christianity.
Our aim is to support Christians engaging with other faiths either locally or virtually through the media, and to provide resources for parishes reflecting theologically on what it means to be a Christian amidst increasing religious diversity.
Traditionally, the Church of England has taken responsibility for the care of all souls in each parish; what does this mean in a multi-religious world?
Are you from a parish with a majority of other faiths in your area, looking for examples of good practice in working with other religions for social change?
Are you interested in theological questions about Christian identity in relation to other religions?
Would you like advice about how to welcome people from another faith community to your church?
In the map to the right you can see local places of worship – if you have not already, why not contact the place of worship of the nearest religious community in your area and go for a visit?
Are you already involved in inter religious dialogue and social action? Please contact us at the central office of ‘Presence and Engagement’ and also your local P&E Centre to tell us about your work with other religions in your area.
Each Diocese has its own Inter-faith officers
We do not currently have an interfaith adviser for this diocese. For advice or support, please contact the national programme coordinator – email@example.com
